Oceanographic conditions in the coastal zone of northern and southern Chile are analyzed based on monthly hydrographic data from fixed monitoring stations off Arica, Iquique, Mejillones, Coliumo and Corral, as part of the project “Bio-Oceanographic Conditions and Evaluation of the spawning stock of anchovy between the regions of Arica and Parinacota and Antofagasta” carried out by IFOP annually. The results are discussed incorporating local historical information from the same monitoring series and from the Equatorial Pacific (ENSO condition) and are published monthly in Bio-Oceanographic bulletins.
