Mission

Conduct bio-oceanographic research useful for the management and administration of fisheries, whose scope of action extends in the areas of physical, chemical and biological oceanography.

Our Researchers

Our team is made up of five researchers trained in both biological and oceanographic areas with experience in Physical Oceanography, Zooplankton and Ichthyoplankton plus 2 ictio and zooplankton qualified technicians.

Hernan ReyesHernán Reyes Rivas (Head of Section)

Oceanographer who has focused his work in physical oceanography, specializing in field work (cruisers) and data processing CTDO, and also analysis of satellite data.

Vivian Valenzuela Cuevas

Marine Biologist who has focused her studies in the area of marine plankton, on-site collection, laboratory sample analysis, identification of ichthyoplankton and zooplankton; as well as data processing and preparation of reports.

Elisa Pizarro Revello

Graduated from Oceanography, who has focused her work in chemical oceanography, specializing in the distribution of chlorophyll and oxygen.

 Jorge Angulo Aros

Marine biologist who has focused his work primarily in obtaining zooplankton samples, laboratory analysis of zooplankton and preparation of reports related to these items. Specific objective of hydroacoustic assessment cruises conducted on various fisheries.
