The purpose with this course is to incorporate into our daily diet vegetables and healthy products from the area where we live, through simple recipes for daily consumption and for the whole family. All with the purpose to make the kitchen a healthy place to prepare balanced and rich dishes to share with family.

The Instituto de Fomento Pesquero has implemented a Healthy Life Program whose main objective is to promote healthy living habits for all workers.

Javier González, a selection and training analyst of IFOP, explained that “this workshop commenced on December 27 and will end in January 2017, in the cities of Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas, Talcahuano, Coquimbo and Valparaíso, where we have a greater number of people with 100% Sence coverage. The Healthy Cooking workshop is given by Chef Juan Carlos Hernández, who has incorporated in his recipes products from each region.”

Alejandro Fuenzalida, Head of Human Resources of IFOP, added: “Our goal is a long term one, but we want to start today through a “Healthy Cooking” workshop, which lasts 5 hours, divided into theoretical and demonstrative classes, and as the recipes are being prepared, the preparations are being tasted. The course is supplemented by theoretical basics for healthy nutrition.”

Andrea Rojas, responsible for welfare and quality of life of IFOP added “our purpose with this workshop is to incorporate into our daily food, vegetables and healthy products from the area where we live, through simple recipes for daily consumption and for the whole family. All with the purpose to make the kitchen a healthy place to prepare balanced and rich dishes to share with family.”

“As Human Resources Department, we believe it is a good opportunity to generate and encourage healthy life habits, whose activities are being coordinated by our areas of Training and Welfare, within the framework of Sence franchise financing,” concluded Fuenzalida.
