With the support of the Project GEF-UNDP Humboldt researchers of the Instituto de Fomento Pesquero (IFOP), Patricio Sweep and Francisco Contreras, will be between 27 and 29 October 2015 in lima-peru or to attend the meeting of the Inter-american Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC), in order to expose the results of the fishery of the gilding of height in the coast of Chile. Although Chile is not a member of the CIAT researchers Sweep and Contreras, have been specially invited to the meeting by the Chairman Alexandre Da-Silva in order to show the performance of this fishery on our shores.

In this second technical meeting on the el dorado, will review the available data in order to move toward a regional management of these fisheries, establishing it as framework for discussion the following major topics:

Establish reasonable assumptions on the structure of the population for the regional management of the gold in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

Identify indicators of condition of the population that should be subject to monitoring to provide scientific advice to management on a regional scale

The fishery of dorado of height in Chile extends from Arica to boiler and is increasingly important to the artisanal sector in some months of the year, hence the importance of access to biological information-regional fisheries of the riparian countries of Central and South America that centralizes the CIAT.
