IFOP conducts first aid course for its workers

at IFOP Valparaíso on September 12th and 13th was held a first aid course, with the participation of 20 workers.

The training was performed by the company “Salva una vida Chile” and was offered by nurse Max Palma, who referred to the importance of handling these issues “this is a cross-curricular course that all employees of a company should know, what are taught are general first aid techniques, in situ safety, since, many times people want to help but before have to evaluate that the environment is safe for them, we try; respiratory cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults, children, babies, choking in adults, children, pregnant women, burns, attention fainting and bruising. It is a theoretical and practical course that uses resuscitation dolls so that participants can learn in the field how to perform resuscitation maneuvers. The participation of the IFOP workers was excellent, it has been a pleasure to work on teaching them as they all show a lot of interest in learning ”

Alejandro Fuenzalida, IFOP Human Relations Head, referred to the importance of this course “for IFOP’s workers, due to the risks involved in our work, we want both workers and their families to have internalized the concept of self-care and therefore, is that we are implementing an active risk prevention plan, altogether with raising awareness of the importance of prevention and good use of safety equipment. ”

Carlos Rodríguez, IFOP Risk Prevention Coordinator added “the development of the activity leaves us quite satisfied both by the performance of the rapporteur and the commitment shown by the participants, we hope in future to be able to carry out more activities of this type, which give us the tools to be able to react appropriately to different emergency situations “.
