In the framework of the project GEF-UNDP between Chile and Peru, called: “Toward an ecosystem approach to management of the Humboldt Current Large Marine Ecosystem”

The workshop will be carried out on 08 and January 09, from 09:30 to 17:00 hours, on the 19th floor of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Valparaiso. It is organized by the focal point of Chile (IFOP) in conjunction with the consultant Acuasesorias Ltda.

In the activity, identify the problems between the two countries, affecting the health of the ecosystem, in order to propose solutions or priority actions of mitigation, through a Strategic Action Program.

To achieve the goal requires a multi-sectoral approach by which it is important to have the participation of representatives of public institutions, the productive sector, academia, civil society and all those who develop extractive activities, productive, recreational or other related to marine resources sector in coastal or sea.
