The XIV Congress of the Chilean Society of Limnology (SCL) will be held on October 23-25, 2017, in the city of Puerto Montt, Region de Los Lagos. The event will be organized by the Institute of Fisheries Promotion (IFOP) And will have as slogan: “Aquatic systems facing global change”.
This event will account the outstanding presence of Dr. Sergi Sabater, ICRA researcher (Catalan Institute for Water Research, Girona Spain) and professor at the University of Girona, where he is also research group coordinator “Operation and Conservation Systems Continental Aquatic (GREFCO) “. During his career as a researcher, Dr. Sabater has focused primarily on ecology of algae and biofilms in rivers, biofilms ecotoxicology, metabolism and functioning of river systems, and the effects of global change on fluvial systems.
