Artisanal fishing port El Manzano

It is located in the Hualaihué commune in the X Region, 18 km north of Hornopirén. It is part of Northern Patagonia, an ecosystem influenced by a marked climatic seasonality, rainfall, great tidal range, the influence of fresh water from rivers and the entry of water bodies from the Pacific Ocean, identifying itself as an ecosystem of channels and fjords.

The main activities carried out in the sector are artisanal fishing (southern hake) and small-scale aquaculture activities, algae cultivation, and seed collection of choritos, which are carried out within three areas of management and exploitation of benthic resources (AMEBR).
