The Fisheries Development Institute (IFOP) is a non-profit Private Law Corporation whose public role is to support the sustainable development of the country’s fishing & aquaculture sector.
IFOP for more than 50 years has fulfilled the public role of supporting the sustainable development of the national fishing & aquaculture sector. Strategic alliances with Chilean universities stand out, Institutions of the national & international sector. It is currently under the Quality Management System (QMS) in the process of biological fishing data management, together with the age determination of fish made by the Age & Growth Specialized Laboratory.
