Hueihue Mariculture Center

Hueihue Mariculture Center is located in Los Lagos Region (Región de los Lagos), Province of Chiloé. Specifically in the banks of Hueihue bay. Jurisdictionally belongs to the municipality of Ancud.

The Center depends technically and administratively to the Aquaculture Research Division of IFOP, located in the city of Puerto Montt.

Its function is to provide support in infrastructure, equipment and personnel during the execution of projects developed within the Division. Currently there are projects being developed from the departments of Hydrobiologic Health and fish restock and Culture Center.
