El IFOP se ha hecho parte de la preocupación que hoy existe en el mundo acerca de las consecuencias que está teniendo el cambio climático en los océanos, específiamente en lo que a nuestras costas se refiere.
Ante eso, ha organizado este simposio internacional con el objetivo de ser un aporte desde el ámbito científico a las políticas públicas, tanto nacionales como en el contexto de la COP25. Con la participación de científicos y profesionales de otros países y de Chile, se darán a conocer las principales amenazas que enfrentan los océanos ante el cambio climático, pero también las oportunidades que estos mismos nos ofrecen para mitigarlas y para construir una economía sustentable.

The FIFG has become part of the concern that today exists in the world about the consequences that climate change is having on the oceans, specifically as far as our coasts are concerned.
Given this, it has organized this international symposium with the aim of being a contribution from the scientific field to public policies, both national and in the context of COP25. With the participation of scientists and professionals from other countries and Chile, the main threats facing the oceans in the face of climate change will be announced, but also the opportunities they offer to mitigate them and to build a sustainable economy.
