Abertura circular; op\u00e9rculo c\u00f3rneo. Superficie con 26 a 28 anillos altos, lisos, a veces soldados, con surcos m\u00e1s angostos al acercarse a la abertura. Abertura circular. Septo mas elevado hacia el borde convexo. El op\u00e9rculo con n\u00facleo central de color amarillento. Especie parecida a Caecum magellanicum, pero m\u00e1s afinado hacia el lado cerrado por el septo. Alcanzan tama\u00f1os de aproximadamente 2 mm de longitud (Forcelli, 2000).<\/p>\n<p><b>DISTRIBUCI\u00d3N<\/b><br \/>\nIquique a Concepci\u00f3n. En Chile el gradiente latitudinal va desde los 15\u00ba a los 35\u00baS (Valdovinos, 1999).<\/p>\n<p><b>H\u00c1BITAT<\/b><br \/>\nVive en fondos de arena.<\/p>\n<p><b>PRESENCIA DE LA ESPECIE EN LOCALIDADES MUESTREADAS<\/b><br \/>\nBah\u00eda Inglesa, Bah\u00eda Tongoy, Puerto Montt, Puqueld\u00f3n, Fiordo Ays\u00e9n, Canal Puyuhuapi, Estero Quitralco.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Phylum: Mollusca Clase: Gastropoda Orden: Littorinimorpha Familia: Caecidae Gray, 1850 G\u00e9nero: Caecum J.
