Entre los caracteres diagn\u00f3sticos destacan para su identificaci\u00f3n: cabeza ancha, sin rostro prolongado y con la mejilla (\u00e1ngulo anteroventral) fuertemente desarrollado en un diente curvo dirigido hacia adelante y arriba. Ojos ausentes. Cuerpo ancho, robusto y con el pleonito 3 posterodorsalmente giboso. Gnat\u00f3podos sencillos, no fuertemente subquelados. Ep\u00edmero 3 con un diente curvo posterodistal muy prolongado (\u201cfalcata\u201d).
