The activity included keynote lectures, oral presentations, scientific posters and specialized symposiums in different areas of Marine Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>At this important meeting, IFOP was represented by 20 researchers who presented results from various projects and lines of research developed by the Institute, contributing with scientific evidence to the knowledge of marine ecosystems and their resources.<\/p>\n<p>Among the works presented, topics related to: benthic resources, co-management, fisheries, aquaculture, oceanography, climate change, biodiversity, modeling, ecosystems, economy, among others, were addressed, taking into account the diversity of research that IFOP is currently developing throughout Chile and the scope of the Institute&#8217;s scientific work and its permanent contribution to the knowledge of national marine systems.<\/p>\n<p>IFOP&#8217;s participation in this type of meeting constitutes an opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration networks and generate spaces for dialogue between the scientific community and the different actors linked to the ocean and reaffirms the institutional commitment to the development and dissemination of scientific and technological research of excellence, aimed at generating relevant knowledge for the conservation and sustainable management of Chile&#8217;s marine resources and ecosystems.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers from the Fisheries Development Institute participated in a new edition of the main national scientific meeting dedicated to the study of the oceans, sharing research results linked to marine resources, ecosystems and the challenges for their management and conservation.
