This initiative aims to bring science and technology closer to students and teachers in the region.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1_jornada-IQQ.jpeg\" rel=\"33553\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-33554 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1_jornada-IQQ-300x161.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1_jornada-IQQ-300x161.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1_jornada-IQQ-1024x551.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1_jornada-IQQ-150x81.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1_jornada-IQQ.jpeg 1209w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>These workshops included two sessions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first took place on June 12 at the Nazaret School in Alto Hospicio, with the participation of approximately 70 students and teachers, along with the school community.<\/li>\n<li>The second session was held on June 23 at the Esmeralda Annex of the University of Tarapac\u00e1, bringing together around 130 participants who attended the technology exhibition and complementary workshops in groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2_jornada-Alto-hospicio.jpeg\" rel=\"33553\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-33556 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2_jornada-Alto-hospicio-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2_jornada-Alto-hospicio-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2_jornada-Alto-hospicio-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2_jornada-Alto-hospicio-113x150.jpeg 113w, https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2_jornada-Alto-hospicio-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https:\/\/www.ifop.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2_jornada-Alto-hospicio.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>In both activities, IFOP was present with an interactive booth, showcasing various tools, methodologies, and instruments used in the scientific and technological work related to the study of marine and fisheries resources.<\/p>\n<p>This participation allowed IFOP to connect its work with elementary and high school students, fostering interest in scientific research and innovation. During the sessions, attendees were able to interact directly with the professional team, learn about monitoring and research experiences, and understand the importance of using technology in the study and conservation of marine ecosystems. These events also facilitated the exchange of knowledge and strengthened networks between scientific institutions and the educational community. IFOP&#8217;s participation in these activities reaffirms its commitment to science education and the promotion of early careers, contributing to the development of research and innovation capacities in the Tarapac\u00e1 Region.
