The IFOP professionals who participated were scientific observers Ra\u00fal Rojas, H\u00e9ctor Pastor, Joaqu\u00edn Aguilera, Jordans Fierro, and Rui Feng Wang. It is worth noting that Joaqu\u00edn and Jordan are among the Pencopolitano High School alumni who are now part of our institute.<\/p>\n<p>The activity focused on identifying pelagic species, such as common sardine, anchovy, sole, cod, and pompano, as well as crustaceans, including yellowtail and red shrimp. Exercises were also conducted on species proportions, measurements, sex determination, maturity stages, and otolith extraction.<\/p>\n<p>Joaqu\u00edn appreciated participating in the workshop and was grateful for the opportunity, which brought back many memories of his early days, seeing himself reflected in the students from years past.
