CIENTEART 2025 is a platform designed to promote school scientific talent in the commune of Cocham\u00f3, fostering a culture of innovation and collaborative learning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On October 8 and 9, the Liceo de Cocham\u00f3 \u2013 Escuela Fronteriza Juan Soler Manfredini became the epicenter of innovation and knowledge during the CIENTEART 2025 science fair, an event organized by the Municipality of Cocham\u00f3 that brought together students, teachers, and various institutions to celebrate science, art, and creativity in education.<\/p>\n

The fair featured the exhibition and evaluation of numerous scientific and artistic projects developed by students at all educational levels, from preschool to high school. The topics addressed reflected the new generations\u2019 interest in the environment, technology, biology, and art, standing out for their creative approach and commitment to the local community.<\/p>\n

One of the participants was the Fisheries Development Institute (IFOP), which took part through its cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Cocham\u00f3. The Institute participated with a stand representing the three departments of its Aquaculture Division.<\/p>\n

In this third edition of the fair, MSc. Sandra Saavedra served on the evaluation committee, contributing to the review of the different scientific projects presented. Researcher Macarena Herrera gave a talk titled \u201cBiogeographic Characteristics of the Reloncav\u00ed Fjord: A Causal Conjunction of a Key Area for Mussel Farming.\u201d Daniela Uribe guided visitors through a presentation on bivalve mollusk larval production, showcasing the work carried out at IFOP\u2019s Hatchery in Hueihue, while Mar\u00eda Paz Navarrete delivered an engaging presentation on parasite diversity in marine organisms, sharing real samples and clear explanations that helped attendees understand her team\u2019s work in detecting and analyzing parasites in species of economic and ecological importance.<\/p>\n

Additionally, throughout both days, the IFOP team offered a series of interactive experiences that sparked curiosity and interest among children, youth, and adults. These included the interactive platform \u201cSemilla End\u00e9mica,\u201d which allows users to visualize and understand real-time environmental monitoring results; the Scientific Memory Game, which captivated students of all ages, promoting inclusive learning and connecting with neurodiversity through play and curiosity; and the Scientific Trivia Game, which engaged both young and older participants. Winners received educational and technical materials that promote aquaculture diversification and enhance understanding of the many studies conducted by the Institute in support of the sector\u2019s sustainable development.<\/p>\n

The event was highly appreciated by both the educational community and participating institutions, establishing itself as a key space for encouraging scientific thinking, intellectual curiosity, and community engagement.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
