This course was held within the framework of the 2025 Congress of Marine Sciences and was attended by professionals, students, and artisanal fishers.<\/p>\n<p>It was taught by researchers from the IFOP Management Areas Section: Gabriela Arenas, Bryan Bularz, Catherine Gonz\u00e1lez, and Pedro Romero.<\/p>\n<p>This course provided participants with a conceptual and methodological framework for the development of Management Plans with an Ecosystem Approach, aimed at the administration of Management Areas or other local management areas. This course strengthened local and technical capacities for the design and implementation of these plans, taking into account current economic and technical constraints, and promoting the use of local ecological knowledge of fishers as a fundamental input in planning.<\/p>\n<p>The course had a theoretical and practical approach, based on active and participatory learning methodologies.
