Presentations were made by representatives of Sernapesca, Subpesca, Fundaci\u00f3n Pitipalena, and researchers from UACH and IFOP.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop objective was to show different initiatives that started in 2016, prior to the implementation of the Regional Strategic Program in 2017, and which are considered &#8220;early fruits&#8221; that should have been implemented given the evidence and coherence with strategic planning, where the red tide was identified through public consultation, as one of the major gaps for the diversification of production in the artisanal fishing sector.<\/p>\n<p>During the day Ays\u00e9n IFOP\u2019s headquarters chief Hern\u00e1n Padilla and researcher Romanet Seguel began the day with presentations that addressed the progress of Transfer Programs &#8220;Improvement of the Monitoring of FANs in the XI Region&#8221; and &#8220;Detoxification of Bivalves resources in Aysen region &#8220;respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Both initiatives aim to mitigate the negative impacts generated by harmful algal blooms in the benthic fisheries sector.
